This is a great New Moon to settle and FEEL-into your more sensitive and sentimental side. Cancer symbolically represents the mother, the matriarchy and the womb (regardless of your gender). Cancer is keenly instinctual and the natural creator (of all creations). Because the inner world of a Cancerian is so sweet and tender, there is a need for protection, as well as isolation from time-to-time.

The last week of June and the first week of July could be a telling time on the World Stage. It could be a time when power struggles are more prominent and the gloves come off. There is also the potential for transformation to be activated - amongst many, many other possibilities. The transit setting the stage for this type of activity is Mars in Aries Square to Pluto in Capricorn.

No doubt, the tides are shifting. The past isn’t ours, it never was. Yet, our minds and hearts may be feeling heavy with longing for the “better days.” A sentiment of nostalgia, feeling sorrow or grief about the return of our minds to a place no longer present, could be strong in our collective consciousness. Great rifts have been branded into our lives, big and small. Regardless of how we feel about these changes, worries around safety and security may be lingering. It may feel like these concerns are coming up from the depths to the surface at this time - ready for a release, a transformation.

Entering Taurus season implies a time of much needed sensual grounding and rooting down. This is a time when the spring flowers are in full bloom, babies are being born, the flora is pollenating and the world is really coming back to life. Taurean energy is based on value, as it is ruled by Venus : valuing the self, determining what is valuable, surrounding ones self with valuable “things.”

Neptune’s influence in our lives can be a bit slippery, easy to ignore or just completely forget about and potentially understated. Chief characteristics of Neptunes energetic includes : surrendering, compassion, lack of boundaries, cosmic immersion, confusion, disillusionment, dissolving (particularly of the ego), glorification and fogginess. Neptune transits can result in : spiritual deepening, creative masterpieces, selfless acts, ego-loss, material disenchantment, great illusionary “spoofs” and a blurring-of-all-of-the-lines.

Aries is the match that is lit, the starting gun that begins the race, the fiery knowing that “this is the time.” Step into your inspired knowing at this time, and make solid moves to write, draw or burn your inspirations onto your spit-fire wish-list.

I hope that your dreams and aspirations have become too big and unruly for you to handle. I hope that you gasp in disbelief in how you have allowed your imagination to run so unbelievably wild. I hope that you feel a bit overwhelmed by how wide open you have allowed your heart to be. This is part of the healing that the current activity in Pisces is offering us. Let yourself sink into the Piscean dreaminess, if you feel lazy, BE LAZY. Keep on sinking and exploring your inner landscape, that is the current work.

While March contains challenges - for sure - it is also lined with magnificent gems. Don’t become so preoccupied with the pressures of this time and miss its gifts.

We have a full plate at this time. Recognizing the dreamer within us can be daunting : “who am I to dream up a beautiful life for myself and for those I love?” And then being urged to go beyond that, more and more than you have ever drared to dream before. Besides some time, surrender and blissful belief, all you need to do is let yourself go there. Write it down, don’t, there are no rules. Make it meaningful to you. Let your intuition be the guide.

It’s time to let the sparks fly. Create, connect, and throw some caution to the wind. Your potential is great, and your dreams are worthy of being brought to manifestation. Resourcefulness, dedication and stamina are available at this time.

Can you feel it? The forward motion and open horizons. The big exhale, releasing the baggage of the past and sailing into the promises of the future. You may finally start feeling the inkling of payoffs from the grinding friction and plodding inner work of the past two years.

At a time when new ground has been exposed due to upheaval and disturbance, we find ourselves with the unexpected gift of new opportunities. The road to the “optimal life” has been re-directed, and we find our selves wondering if the upheaval will take a break for a bit. And it will, but not immediately, and not consistently. If you can feel the optimism and the changes coming into manifestation that’s because they are there… on the horizon.

If you have been white-knuckling the “old ways” then this time may be more challenging for you. Or maybe it will be the perfect hand-holding opportunity to finally relinquish control over the ultimately uncontrollable. Tucked into the heart of this otherwise challenging Last Quarter Moon is a beautiful bouncy house where you can let go, enjoy and look to the new future with renewed optimism.

The sweet release of the Cancer Full Moon is being deepened and enhanced by the presence of Pluto. This is a great time to let go of mirky, shadowy material that is no longer serving our growth, an appreciate the shadow material that remains within us. The mindful release of this material can serve us in our next round of seed planting / intention setting, as we can later come to the planting grounds from a clearer, lighter place.

We are in the midst of changes in the sky. Mostly we are amongst shifts within familiar storylines, revisiting familiar territory. While we may be intrigued to move headfirst into the openings that we sense will be eventually presenting themselves. The sky is reminding us that we may be skipping steps and creating loopholes in order to avoid elements of the work that we just don’t want to do.

How is this Venus Retrograde going for everyone? There is some rich Venuseun material being stirred up right now. Our relationships, friendships, creative energy and financial matters are all being put to the test. With Pluto so intimately involved, as I mentioned in an earlier newsletter, this is not your run-of-the-mill Venus Retrograde. We have all been plunged right into the heart of Venus, and not in the romantic kind of way necessarily.

So, we step into 2022 a bit more raw, a bit less naive and with a deep need for relief and a break. This will not be an overview of 2022, but I can tell you that there are some blissful sweet spots in 2022. Sweet spots that we have not experienced astrologically since 2019.
