Opening
As though we haven’t encountered enough change thus far in 2025… March is ushering in a gigantic wave of major shifts, so buckle in my friends. March is by far one of the most notable months of 2025, with both Mercury and Venus Stationing Retrograde, Eclipse Season in full swing and Neptune making its initial Ingress into Aries (a very big deal!).
The Zodiacal signs of Aries and Pisces are largely highlighted throughout the month, specifically the first 10° of Aries and last 7° of Pisces (23° - 29°). Take a look at your chart to see if you have any planets or angles situated at 0° - 10° of Aries, Cancer, Libra or Capricorn and / or 23° - 29° of Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius and Pisces. If you have placements in these areas of your chart, you could be more imminently impacted by the high voltage planetary activity that is taking place in March (and until mid-April).
Venus (& Mercury) Stations Retrograde
Venus Retrograde takes place every year and a half, and the sign that Venus Retrogrades in repeats every eight years. This year Venus is beginning her Retrograde in Aries and ending in Pisces. Reflect back to 2017, 2009, 2001, 1993, 1985, etc. to get an idea for how Venus Retrograde in Aries has shown up in your life previously and what patterns tend to arise for you during this particular Venus Retrograde cycle.
Venus Stations Retrograde on March 1st at 10° Aries 50’. The Moon in a Conjunction to Venus as she Stations is a beautiful gesture to the warrior feminine. In addition, Venus is in a Semisquare to Uranus and a Sextile to Jupiter. This is an unyielding and fired-up Venus, she doesn’t play by the rules and is justified in her bold stance.
Venus will maintain this intensity until she re-enters Pisces on March 27th and immediately conjoins Neptune. At this time the Venusian influence will likely retreat and soften. And on April 12th Venus will Station Direct in Conjunction to Saturn at 24° Pisces 37’. The second half of this Venus Retrograde is distinctly different than the first half. The fierce warrior goddess who begins this journey retraces her steps through more subtle and emotionally charged terrain.
We could enter this Venus Retrograde with vim and vigor and only to realize that surrender, compassion and even loyalty can be just as powerful… maybe even more so.
Venus Retrogrades can provide a deep learning space for our relationships in general, feel into where your relationships could be revisioned, tweaked, enlivened. Also, look to the creative areas of your life, the women in your life, as well as the social environment that you live within - these are all areas that could be up for re-evaluation. This Venus Retrograde includes a possible conclusion to the topics that arise. You could compile a logistical plan for how to move forward, and maybe realize an ending or even a severing that is necessary.
In addition, Mercury is moving alongside Venus for the majority of this Venus Retrograde, Stationing Retrograde on March 15th at 09° Aries 35’ - Opposite the Moon in Libra and Semisquare Uranus. Mercury will Station Direct on April 7th 2025 (26° Pisces 49’), and will also be Conjunct Saturn at that time. Both Venus and Mercury are embarking upon nearly identical journeys. Venus moves a bit more slowly, so the timeline of her journey is a bit longer than Mercury’s.
The intimate connection from both the Moon and Mercury to the Venus Retrograde suggests that the Cosmos is highlighting this particular Venusian Journey, stating that it is an important moment for the world at large, and also personally for many individuals. It is likely that you are already experiencing the influx of the themes that will be highlighted for you at this time. Reflect on what material is floating to the surface for you to deepen into. Mercury’s influence could give voice to the process that you are working through with Venus.
On the world stage we could see women’s rights, reproductive rights as well as LGBTQ rights go through the wringer. Arts and entertainment could experience landmark releases as well as other events. Venus also represents the sweet honey that holds society together, we could see social cohesion as a whole being reconfigured.
Virgo Total Lunar Eclipse
And… we return to another Eclipse Season! Eclipse Season rolls around twice a year and lasts for about a month. As if we didn’t have enough occurring in the Pisces / Aries sectors of our charts, this Eclipse Season bookends both the Venus and the Mercury Retrograde Cycles. The Virgo Total Lunar Eclipse occurs at 23° Virgo 56’, with the Sun in Pisces (close to where Venus and Mercury will Station Direct) and the Aries Partial Solar Eclipse will take place at 09° Aries 00’ (close to where Venus and Mercury will Station Retrograde). This is notable.
In March and April, we are continually brought back to this liminal area of the Zodiac. The nebulous ending that Pisces submerses us into, and the fiery rebirth that Aries ignites for us. Teetering upon the realm of beginnings and endings seems appropriate in the context of the great change that the human race stands upon at this moment. We can feel the transformation deep within our bones and our souls … life as we know it is dissolving into fertile goo, only to reemerge as something different all together. We must trust the process.
The Virgo Total Lunar Eclipse highlights a Conjunction between the Sun, Saturn and Neptune. As well as a flowing aspect to Uranus. There is a bit of foreshadowing to this Eclipse, to the upcoming Saturn-Neptune Conjunction that will be close this summer and will perfect in February of 2026. How can we dream into the dissolution of the structure that we stand upon. Can we trust that when our foundations are washed away that we can both survive the process and re-emerge stronger on the other side?
We are invited to dare to envision a life outside of the realms of our current reality. We are invited to do this in the midst of the chaos, confusion and overwhelm - because in this environment anything is possible. The illusion of control can be released in the sign of Pisces, allowing for the presence of freedom and possibility. And with the South Node Conjunct the Moon in Virgo for this Eclipse, we are encouraged to loosen our grasp on practicality and perfectionism. What doesn’t make logical sense? Go there! What doesn’t “add up”? Make that happen! What taps into the innate love that is located within each and every human being? Yes, yes, yes!
Aries Partial Solar Eclipse
The Aries Partial Solar Eclipse occurs on March 29th and is situated at 09° Aries 00’. This Eclipse further deepens the ongoing dance between endings and beginnings. The way that we tend to endings is pertinent to how the new beginning will manifest.
On its own, a Solar Eclipse in Aries is visionary, action oriented and brave. Interestingly, this Eclipse is also Semisquare to Uranus, adding more fuel to the fire, as well as the potential for sudden events and even disruption. However, both the Sun and the Moon are in a Parallel relationship with Saturn, adding a grounding effect, as well as concrete consequences to whatever is occurring at this time. Also a reminder that we cannot leave our karma behind as we step forward towards new life. As Earthbound beings, karma can change and adjust but we will always be working within karma’s gravitational pull.
The immediate effects of this Eclipse will be noticeable until April 12th, when the next non-Eclipse Full Moon takes place. However, Eclipse’s in general have about a 6 month window of impact (until the next Eclipse Season). Interestingly, Venus also Stations Direct on April 12th (Mercury a couple of days before that). So, expect the core of the upcoming upheaval and re-working to take place until mid-April.
Neptune into Aries
To make matters more intense, Neptune will be embarking upon its initial ingress into the sign of Aries on March 30th - this will be baked into the Aries Partial Solar Eclipse dynamic as well. We have experienced Neptune in Pisces since 2011, and it illustrates the influx of natural healing remedies, yoga, meditation, psychedelics, increased Spiritual interest… plus much much more.
Neptune represents the psyche of the people, the invisible agreements that bind us all together, the collective subconscious, shared dreams, illusions, art and beliefs without need for proof, faith. Neptune has the ability to bring people together for the good of all as well as the ability to cause mass chaos through deception and confusion. Neptune allows us to experience the psychic, subtle and all-encompassing ways that humans are interconnected with one another, regardless of time and space. Neptune is both the dream and the nightmare. When you are within Neptune’s realm you realize that there is fluidity between hope and fear, and subtle changes can thrust you into one or the other. Intuition is key to navigating Neptune’s waters - which is why Neptune is often likened to Pisces.
We are already feeling the effects of this massive shift. Neptune in Aries lifts up and idealizes the hero, the manly-man, the warrior. In the Summer of 2024, as Neptune was less than 1° from the sign of Aries, is when now President Trump was nearly assassinated. The performance of Trump standing up, fist in the air, in the midst of nearly fatal aggression and later roaring “Fight, fight, fight” is aligned with the archetype that Neptune in Aries can embody. It can be argued that this event largely helped Trump to win the 2024 Presidential Election. This event largely manifested a universal dream among many that had been lying latent and was ready to step onto the world stage. We now see this same archetype front-and-center of this new administration.
The shift from dreamy Pieces into action-oriented Aries can feel a bit jolting. However, it can be argued that many are ready to be rung out much of the emotional compassion (such as the DEI) like a wet rag. Enablement, potential avoidance, lack of clear boundaries and gaslighting can constitute the shadow side of Neptune in Pisces. Not that this is where I personally stand, however, I must believe that if this process were not necessary for the evolution of humans, we would not be where we are. Everything happens for a reason.
I do not agree with throwing it all out, but there is a stickiness and an over saturation to Neptune in Pisces, and in order to move forward with Neptune in Aries, there is the need for abrupt and total change. The gravity to Neptune in Pisces is great, so this shift into Aries requires blunt force. Just as the bud pushing through the soil in spring time requires courage and disruption to the soil’s surface in order to later bloom. Something fuller and more evolved is in process, but right now it’s just a big mess.
While the change is not comfortable, it can be helpful to know that the Cosmos is requiring these changes for the greater good of humanity. Trust that the work compassion and care that was cultivated over these years with Neptune in Pisces will remain within the human toolbox. But in order to create something new, we need to start over - and that is where Aries rears it’s head and shares it’s talents.
Closing
As with all Eclipse Seasons, be sure to clear some room on your calendar in order to take care of yourself. These times can be overwhelming on their own, but with so many other major transitions occurring simultaneously, it is important to prioritize YOU. Fiercely protect your wellbeing and your needs, the others in your life can handle it, I promise. They will appreciate your goals and it will give them permission to do the same.
Also, I encourage you to participate in meditation this year. Even if it is only for 10 minutes per day. The world needs you to be strong within yourself. Connecting with Source, with Spirit, with God, with your Guides, with your Higher Self… is very important at this time, this is where the pertinent information lies. So please, please, please look within and bring that forward into the world in whatever way that you can. Even if it is just being kind at the grocery store or showing up for those in your life in a better way. The world will notice, human kind will benefit.
The noise is noisy and will continue to be. Tune-out for a moment and check-in with your truth, the world is in desperate of your truth and your love.
