Opening
October may have provided more questions than answers, we could step into November feeling a bit perplexed and hazy. Watch your step! We are being reminded that life does not operate in a linear fashion. Life is a series of twists and turns, and loop-de-loops… would we want it any other way?
The perceived Retrograde motion of the inner planets (Mercury, Venus and Mars) are good reminders that we are not designed to simply move from point A to point B. There are sub-points and pre- and post-points that are also important… or maybe point S is the better option! It’s all over the place because life (and humans) are innately complex.
So, as we wearily step into November, both Mercury and Venus are deep into their Retrograde cycle. They are reminding us that the path is not straight forward, that there are stops and detours along the way that could feel frustrating but that will ultimately embolden our journey. One of the core principals to being a happy human is curiosity! Once we lose our curiosity, we tend to harden and we perceive life as working against us instead of with us.
Curiosity activates the flow state.
Scorpio New Moon
On November 9th the New Moon in Scorpio takes place at 16° 53’. Situated in the deep and perceptive sign of Scorpio, an archetype who isn’t satisfied with life on the surface. The astrological environment that this New Moon takes place in a dreamy landscape, closely Sesquisquare to Neptune and Conjunct Poseidon.
Trust is a major concern for Scorpio, understanding that the undercurrents can sometimes pull us under and threaten our safety. So, when Neptune, the planet of illusions, miscommunication and mistrust is aligned with this archetype, then fear could be heightened.
Poseidon provides insight and clarity in understanding, however, it’s nearly perfect Sequisquare to Neptune indicates that the clarity is clouded. This New Moon brings the search for truth to the forefront. There is an intuitive understanding that the wool is being pulled over our eyes. But proving this into tangible reality could be very difficult.
This New Moon takes place just after the US 2026 Midterm Elections, on November 3rd. I did a deep-dive into this Election (available wherever you watch / listen) if you’re interested. And this New Moon states that we could be steeped in an environment where information is distorted. The core to this storyline could have to do with contested voting results and suspicion of voter fraud (a possibility that was clear on my own Election work).
Personally, get clear on your own intuitive knowing, this is a very spiritual alignment - when removed from the mundane muddle. This is a great New Moon to meditate, hold a ceremony or pay attention to your dreams. The answers and clarity that you could be craving are available in the liminal space, the space between the space.
Be careful of meaningless distractions and rabbit holes that only lead to disappointment. Set energetic boundaries, and protect your peace. Sensitivities could be high. And the incoming information could be on the vibe-plane - not the mental plane.
Take a look at your chart to see what you have at 16° of the Fixed Signs (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio and Aquarius), you will be most impacted by this New Moon.
Mercury and Venus Station Direct
Mid-November gets itself all riled up. In the midst of communication chaos and sifting through the un-truths, decisions could be made in order to find a way through. As you know, at this point, we have been through approximately 40 days of Venus Retrograde - a journey that began on October 3rd. And Mercury has been Retrograde since October 24th. Remarkably, on November 13th, both Mercury and Venus Station Direct.
Scandals have been highlighted during this retrograde period. Documentaries and documentary-style films focused on the psychology of the powerful, and the damage that they can have on society have dominated the popular film narrative. These films include : “Musk”, “Naza”, “You Can See Everything” and “The Social Reckoning”. Each one is raw and is obsessively excavating the lives of individuals who have impacted our world. It is interesting that two of these films are quite long 3-4 hours.
These are Scorpio themes : raw documentation, obsessive research, exposure of uncomfortable material, focus on scandal, and explorations of power. Being a fixed sign ruled by Mars, several of the films aren’t afraid to make you sit in the theater for at least an hour longer than the “conventional” film. They want you to be as invested in their psychological excavation as they are. The deeper you go, the deeper you go.
Additionally, these Retrograde cycles will both active as the 2026 US Midterms take place on November 3rd. The work that I did looking at the Midterm Elections indicate that there is a strong possibility for unclear election results, or accusations of voting fraud (surprise, surprise). If that is the case, then whatever unclear storyline we are working through at the beginning of the month could become “resolved” on or around November 13th.
Mercury is the first of the two to Station Direct, situated at 05° Scorpio 02’, and in a Square with Pluto. On the Dial, this Station indicates quick and potentially aggressive means of communication, forced outcomes or power-heavy accusations. Whatever messaging is taking place at this time will not be dismissive. The intentions of those who are expressing themselves will not be mistaken. Any confusion that may have been present prior to this time will no longer allow space to be questioned.
Personally, expect revelations that expose your fears and allow you to take steps that you may not have had the courage to take before now. The path is being opened up for you, but there is a cost, your self-deprivation must be left behind. You’ve got this.
Venus Stations Direct later in the day, at 22° Libra 51’. Venus’ story aligns with Mercury’s in that Venus began similar to how Mercury is now ending (Square to Pluto). Venus has completed both her decent into the Underworld, where she lost all that is important to her, as well as her ascent back up into the visible realm. She began her journey in the sign of her Exile (she can traditionally struggle in the sign of Scorpio) and completes it in the sign of her Domicile (Libra is a place where Venus can act “naturally”).
Symbolically, this indicates that we have collectively unearthed what it means to be in relationship, what our worth really is, and what social niceties should actually look like. We began this exploration by being plunged into that which is most uncomfortable and revealing. The work that we did will theoretically be rewarded with clarity and solutions to these areas of our life. We could have breakthroughs that liberate us from the heaviness that we were stuck within.
More than anything, November 13th, and the days surrounding it, could act as a pivot point. A moment when questions are answered and decisions are made. We might not be completely on board with the direction that things are taking, but we cannot linger any longer.
In his book entitled “Disrupt You” Jay Samit Staes that “Pivoting is not the end of the disruption process, but the beginning of the next leg of your journey."
Mars-Jupiter-South Node
Another piece of the pivotal activity in mid-November is the rare Conjunction of Mars, Jupiter and the South Node at 25° Leo 53’, taking place on November 15th / 16th. This is an alignment that has been on my radar for over a year, specifically when looking at President Trump’s astrology. This triple Conjunction takes place on his natal Mars, suggesting that his actions and possible aggressions will be unusually highlighted around this time. We could see advancement with the War in Iran, or actions that push the US into further disharmony.
Taking place in the sign of Leo signals leadership broadly, but having the South Node in the sign of Leo is one of several astrological signatures that have been weighing heavily on those who are in power. The Sound Node tends to deflate, to take away, and we are seeing that many leaders around the world are up against intense scrutiny. Globally, people are revolting against what is ultimately the result of decades of poor leadership.
We could see a continuation or a different manifestation of unrest in mid-November. Mars-Jupiter on its own signals a time of heightened activity and drive. The momentum that has been built up is at full-throttle. And the presence of the South Node could indicate fated events or events that shake-up or uproot the overall trajectory. Be ready for a plot twist.
Interestingly, Anthropic is set to IPO the week of November 16th. If this does materialize, I suspect that this event could eventually highlight the volatility of the AI financial bubble. The fragmentation may not be immediately evident, but the astrology suggests that there could be a cautionary-tale woven into how we remember Anthropic’s IPO in years to come.
Personally, you could find that you have a lot more energy than usual, your drive could be more focused and productive. If you need to get something done, mid-November can be a great time. The vision and the value of your goals should be more clear by then, and the energetic boost should be very helpful.
If you have any placements at or around 25° of the Fixed Signs (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio or Aquarius) then you could be feeling this triple Conjunction more intensely.
Gemini Full Moon
Finally, on November 24th the Full Moon in Gemini will take place, situated at 02° 20’. Activating the future-oriented alignment between Uranus-Neptune-Pluto, this Full Moon could be stirring up stagnant energy. Uranus is tightly Conjunct the Moon, and more widely and out-of-sign Square to Mars.
Personally, be careful of wearing yourself out from the mid-November burst of activity. Pace yourself and remember that so much of our life is playing the long-game. If we hurt ourselves or drive ourselves to the ground, we will be no good to others, or to our goals. So, take the process one-step-at-a-time, remember to breathe and remain in your body.
This is a Full Moon that could be keeping us up at night, so prepare for the potential of interrupted sleep. Our bodies could be unusually sensitive to caffeine and other stimulants, so be careful of drinking your coffee too late in the day or having more than usual. People could be a bit more irritable around this Full Moon, so tread carefully around sensitive issues.
On the up side, there is the possibility for unexpected breakthroughs or insight into a problem that you have been working on. Your progress in something could catapult forwards with great gusto. Make sure that you aren’t jumping in prematurely, take the time to carefully evaluate the situation.
Remember that we are in a time of immense change, and disruption. November provides the opportunity to further break outdated habits, allowing us to pivot our perspectives and our trajectories. Tuli Kupferberg, a 1960’s counterculturist, poet and author said, “When patterns are broken, new worlds emerge." This quote rings even more true in today’s social and political climate. We aren’t sure what new world is beckoning us toward it, but we can feel its invitation.
Early Mutable placements (Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius and Pisces) will feel this placement most intimately. This area of your chart is already being impacted by Uranus, and the Full Moon could further highlight that exciting storyline.
Closing
The beginning of November is guaranteed to look a lot different than the end of it. We enter the month with a slew of unanswered questions and unclear trajectories. By the middle of the month, we can expect concrete answers and actions to follow. The answers and actions might not be what we were hoping, but we will at least know where we stand.
Be prepared to feel a bit of whip-lash at several points within the month. The changes that could be taking place, or the actions being put into place could come with unprecedented speed. We may find that we were completely take off guard and unprepared.
Stay flexible in your perception of the way that things “should be”. As I have stated many times this year, the world is in the midst of a “great reset”. Both one piece at a time and all at once. The astrological activity of November could activate this process, and keep the deconstruction moving along.
As always, take care of yourself and don’t jump to conclusions. The events that unfold in November will make an impact, but nothing lasts forever.
