May 2026 : Trust Yourself
Business
Hello Everyone! Summer Break coming up very soon! If you are looking for a Consultation in the coming months and can’t find openings in my limited schedule don’t hesitate to reach out and I can fit you in.
I feel like my voice has been on the airwaves more than ever lately! I was asked to join Patty Davis of Spirit Speakers Podcast to talk about the intense shifts that are occurring in the world (entitled “You’re Not Alone!”). It was a really great conversation, that I am sure that you all would find helpful in this chaotic and sometimes confusing time.
Additionally, I was recently on the Robertson Stash Podcast, where we talked all things astrology and much more. Matt is so fun to talk with, he always throws me some fun curve balls… and I was gifted something very special at the end. I hope that you enjoy!
Sara and I released two new episodes this month! Catherine Urban joined us to talk about Exploring Children’s Charts and Sara and I chatted about her recent experience at a Dark Retreat entitled Meeting the Planets in the Dark - both are found on Broadcast Astrology : Insight for Humans , YouTube, Spotify and Other Channels. We will meet with Karen Crawford next month to discuss Medical Astrology.
Opening
Welcome to May 2026! We certainly felt Uranus’ entrance into Gemini on Saturday evening (the last Saturday of April)! Shocking events unfolded … another attempted assassination on the President, and the contemplative aftershocks of that event. And we still continue to deal with economic skepticism, and further uncertainty surrounding the war in Iran.
The backdrop of these events and concerns lies a visceral quickening and even a sense of alarm that a tsunami of change is upon us. Take good care of yourselves my astro friends. You are right where you’re supposed to be.
May nudges us further along this path. One step at time we personally and collectively step into a new way of living on earth. Just like most things in life - it is happening both slowly and all at once. We feel as though we are just going through our days, but then we look back and realize that we don’t recognize the world that we live in. But describing the change can feel nearly impossible.
It’s ok… All is as it needs to be.
It is important to remember that life is designed for change. As humans, we are here to dance with the cosmos - with life’s master plan. The dance subtly (and not so subtly) maneuvers us through our evolutionary path. Remember that you can’t dance when you’re paralyzed with fear. Get out there and shake your booty! Have some fun!
Scorpio Full Moon
The Scorpio Full Moon takes place on May 1st at 1:23pm EDT, and is situated at 11° Scorpio 20’. A Scorpio Full Moon signals depth of feeling and orients us towards topics of passion and security. Most notably, this Full Moon is situated in a Square to Pluto. It is a separating Square, so you can expect the intensity to peak a day or two prior to the Full Moon itself.
Safety is sure to be highlighted, both personally and globally. We cannot and should not trust everyone all the time. We need to be discerning in order to protect ourselves and those who we love. But the real lesson at this time could be : How do we trust our intuition more intimately? Can we prevent ourselves from entering the swirling mind-fuck of “what-ifs” and just TRUST that our intuition is spot-on 100% of the time.
That feeling, deep in our gut within our very own beautiful body is the only north-star that we need. Words deplete the wisdom imparted by this inner knowing. Words are inadequate and tend to minimize the wealth of insight that our intuition bestows. Listen to the seemingly cryptic messages that lie deep within you. Don’t try to figure out the details, just take the first step… and then the next one… and then follow along.
When time is speeding up, the information overflow is overwhelming and the news-reels are constantly derailing our sense of safety, practice listening to YOU. It will change everything. You are the only wisdom that you need.
Pluto Stations Retrograde
We enjoyed a little over a month of forward moving planetary action (with all planets direct). And on May 6th Pluto will Station Retrograde, at 05° Aquarius 30’. We will likely feel this Station several days before, even during the Scorpio Full Moon.
Pluto requires sacrifice. Not the sacrifice of time and effort, that Mars and Saturn requires. It is not that tangible, Pluto works in the realm of psychological patterning, grips on control, and anything that touches these areas of our life.
If you have daily-systems that are born from trauma or are just oriented towards the need for control then this could be an intense time for you - especially if you have any placements at or around 5° of Taurus, Leo, Scorpio or Aquarius.
Pluto exposes where we are denying ourselves actual access to power through various levels of hyper-vigilance. Contrary to our survival mechanisms, letting go allows us to be more effective when reacting to a world that we cannot control. We cannot control anything, really.
What illusions of control get you through the day? Where can you release your grip (even just a little bit) of this illusion? The beginning of May could delve you deeper in touch with this area of your life. Be kind with yourself. Pluto tends to uncover the most vulnerable parts of who we are, with the aim of bringing strength to them.
On the world stage, we can expect to see more heavy-handed activity the first week of May, possibly distinct changes in how power is distributed. Over-stretched reaches of authority.
Taurus New Moon
On May 16th the comfort-seeking Taurus New Moon will take place at 26° 57’ (at 2:00pm EDT). As an archetype, one of the areas of life that Taurus symbolizes includes financial wealth - in order to maintain stability and ease. And in the Washington DC chart (representing the US as a whole), the financial focus is reinforced.
Within the US, there could be anxiety surrounding how to maintain the comfortable lifestyles that so many enjoy. Access to creature comforts could feel tenuous. Be careful not to get too stuck in your ways (another Taurus trait) as you navigate this potentially tricky time.
On a personal level, you could be focused on discovering new approaches to maintain your own lifestyle. Maybe rearranging your budget, finding tricks to saving money, or simply finding solace in what you already have.
This part of your chart has recently been churned up by Uranus over the past couple of years. Maybe there is a new beginning blooming out of this fertile soil - regardless of whether it is tied to resources or not. Take a look at your chart and see what you have between 23° - 29° of Taurus, Leo, Scorpio and Aquarius. You are ready to germinate something beautiful!
Intensity
The last week of May highlights the Sun Conjunct Uranus (May 22nd @ 01° 31’) and Mars Square Pluto (May 25th @ 05° 25’). Although the Sun conjoins Uranus every year, this year’s conjunction is energized due to Uranus’ recent entrance into Gemini.
The two alignments occurring so close to one another indicates a time when superhuman force and extreme events could be taking place on the world stage. There could be a sense of urgency and upset.
If you have any placements in the early degrees (00° - 06°) of either the Fixed (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio or Aquarius) or Mutable (Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius or Pisces) signs then you could be feeling the impact of these transits more personally.
More positively, this is a great time to push towards new ideas. If you have felt stuck, this week in particular could provide both the jolt to get you moving and the drive to keep you focused. These are quick moving influences, so take advantage of this energy if you think that it can help you out in the long run.
But, be careful of taking things too far. The energy is great and you could un-intentionally step on someone’s toes or create more chaos than you had wanted. More rigorous movement is a great way to move through the excess energy.
The intensity of this week takes us into the Sagittarius Full Moon, which could bring whatever events are unfolding to a culmination point. And that is our next stop…
Sagittarius Full Moon
There are three lunations this month! On the last day of May (the 31st), the Sagittarius Full Moon takes place at 09° 55’ (2:45am EDT). I suspect that the weeks prior where we were likely grappling with topics surrounding security, trust and comfort could lead to some form of unraveling as this Full Moon perfects.
Situated quite close to Uranus in Gemini, there is a strong likelihood that this is the kind of full moon that could keep you up at night. Your mind and your nervous system could be running on high - tend to yourself, slow down what you can, touch earth, breathe air mindfully.
Looking to the chart for the US (cast for Washington DC), this could be a time when corruption of power, misguided leadership and a revolutionary response could be at the forefront. Even if these topics are not making headlines, there are indications that these events could be bubbling up behind the scenes or could be on many peoples mind.
It is possible that the conflict in Iran takes a new turn at this point, inciting further violence or cutting more ties with nations we once saw as allies. If you find yourself getting too wrapped up in what is happening, turn it off and go be with nature, or something else to calm your nerves.
The end of May is not a chill time. We are adjusting to the new normal, and time is moving at warp speed, events are unfolding faster than we can keep track of them (both personally and in the world at large). There is the potential that we could be hearing about new technological advancements as well, or integrating current technology deeper into our daily lives (such as AI).
June promises some reprieve from the pressurized intensity, so hang in there!
Closing
May will provide opportunity for some deep processing and even healing. But there is the potential for raw moments inviting in discomfort. Don’t run from the exposure, stay with it. Reach out for help when you need it.
We aren’t here to remain in a cozy bubble of comfort, we are here to push the boundaries of being human and feel all the feels. This is something that Taurus tends to struggle with - the constant variability of life. But the vexation is actually the medicine. Our response is where our wisdom grows.
When you find yourself in the messiness, remember the tools that you have been cultivating for a lifetime - they were preparing you for times like these. Breath, movement, sleep, water, good food, kind words to yourself and others, appreciation, etc.
As I finish writing this newsletter, I was reminded of so many of these tools. I arrived in yoga to find that someone had taken my regular spot - not a big deal, but it was such a chaotic day that I could have really used the comfort that that spot brings to me. But everything happens for a reason… I moved to the row behind and found myself in a line packed full of about 6 power-house goddesses who I am honored to know. Throughout class I felt their presence and support through simultaneous movement, breathing and sweat. It was a great reminder that sometimes the glitch that feels aggravating is showing up in order to illuminate something that you would have missed otherwise.
I am there with each of you, breathing, moving, praying, loving.
Until next time,
Lisa (aka The Dynamic Self)
