Opening
June is a month of tough decisions and friction. Our expectations could be high but beware of immense push-back and disappointment. The challenges that occur aren’t a sign that you’re on the wrong path… but a check-point to provide important information.
This is the core of June’s theme. Which we will cover in depth below. But first… some good news…
June begins with some much needed ease and flow. Life as we know it has been changing at mock-speed for quite a while now. The first week of June could provide a much needed deep-breath. We can expect pleasant connections (Venus Sextile Jupiter and Venus into Taurus), as well as insightful and inspiring conversations (Mercury Sextile Mars and Mercury Conjunct Jupiter).
Be sure to take some time to relax and enjoy life at the beginning of the month. By the time the second week of June kicks in life could start to become a bit more crunchy.
Jupiter into Cancer
Jupiter has been in the sign of Gemini since May 25th 2024 and decisively enters Cancer on June 9th 2025. Jupiter will be in Cancer until June 29th 2026 when it enters Leo. Look back to 2001 and 2013 to see what themes are prominent for you when Jupiter is in Cancer.
Jupiter is in a zodiacal sign for about a year and denotes areas of life such as social cohesion, harmony, hope and growth. Jupiter provides a lifting up or an expansion of whatever it touches. We often look to Jupiter to bring us success and happiness.
On its own, Jupiter into Cancer brings greater optimism, opportunity and even celebration. In Gemini Jupiter has been in the sign of its Detriment - meaning that it can struggle to bring forth its promises. However, Cancer is Jupiter’s sign of exaltation, signaling a time when people could access the boost that they need more easily and in a more grandiose way.
Many are looking to Jupiter to clean up the mess that the Mars Retrograde (from December 2024 - February 2025) kicked up in the Cancer part of their chart. Fingers crossed that the year ahead with Jupiter in Cancer will be able to deliver on the expectations that we have for reconciliation.
Jupiter Square Saturn
However, it is important to point out that Jupiter’s initial landing into Cancer will be a bit bumpy. Like all Cardinal ingresses at this moment, Jupiter will immediately form a Square to Saturn and Neptune in Aries (see May’s Newsletter for more info on Saturn-Neptune). This combination largely challenges the positive potential of Jupiter, plummeting the prospects for opportunity into loss and restriction.
In a mundane context, Jupiter can represent the economy and money in general. The significator of the economy (Jupiter) making a square to both Saturn and Neptune could manifest as a distinct drop in the economy, as well as real estate specifically. If there isn’t an actual drop in the Economy or the real estate market then there could be greater fear surrounding the financial markets.
Whatever occurs is likely to impact the entire world because this Square is taking place on the World Axis (00° of the Cardinal Signs) stating that the events are reverberating throughout the world.
Jupiter and Saturn together represents those in power, from a mundane perspective. To put their current journey into context, Jupiter and Saturn formed an important Conjunction on December 20th 2020 and have been making their first quarter (or opening) square for the past several months (perfecting on September 19th 2024 and December 24th 2024). However, those Squares were from Jupiter in Gemini and Saturn in Pisces.
The third and final opening Square - with Jupiter in Cancer and Saturn in Aries - occurs on June 15th 2025 at 01° 18.’ Jupiter will then Square Neptune in Aries on June 18th 2025 at 02° 06’. Because of the Cardinal placement of this third and final Square and its interaction with Neptune, I suspect that we will feel the effects of this Square more notably.
Look for plot-pivots within the storylines of leaders throughout the world. We could see leaders take their leave and regimes fall. In addition, egotistical leaders could implement unsustainable policies or policies that suppress the people. You could be thinking that we have largely seen this unfold over the past couple of months. And you would be correct, since the Jupiter-Saturn Square has been in play since September. However, this final Square should leave a distinctive mark.
Within your own lives, take stock of what adjustments need yo be made to your life’s trajectory? What part of your plan improving to be disappointing and needs to be released? Taking active steps to remove the unnecessary baggage from your life could make room for new opportunity. I know that change can be difficult… but this is a supportive time to make it happen.
Take a look at your chart. If you have any planets or angles at or near 0°-2° of Cardinal Signs (Aries, Cancer, Libra or Capricorn) you are already swept up in the heaviness and melancholy of Saturn-Neptune. Hopefully Jupiter will bring you some reprieve.
Sagittarius Full Moon
The Sagittarius Full Moon will take place on June 11th 2025 at 20° 39’. With the Sun in Gemini and the Moon in Sagittarius, this is a wonderful time to travel, read a couple of books, set your sights on something far off on the horizon!
This Full Moon is largely very nice. There is a connection between the Full Moon and Venus (by Octile) and a Trine to Mars, adding a creative flair to the available energy. In addition, the Full Moon is situated Square to the Nodes, possibly reactivating some of the earlier Eclipse energy and moving some stuck storylines from March / April.
In addition, the Sun is connected through Declination with both Jupiter and Pluto, a combination that represents great success. Big ideas are ripe with manifestation!
Within the context of the larger astrological activity, the Sagittarius Full Moon is signaling that it is time to think big and put dreams and creative visions into action. If you have been in a holding pattern for a while, this is a fertile moment to take the leap into a new direction!
Mars Square Uranus
On June 15th 2025 Mars in Leo will Square Uranus at the end of Taurus - 28° 54’. Together these planets produce sudden activity, surprise events, explosive circumstances and even revolution. In addition, this combination can signal advances in technology.
The last time Mars and Uranus aligned with one another was July 15th 2024 - two days after the attempted assassination of now President Trump. I’m not signaling that something to that magnitude will occur again. However, we could find insight surrounding that incident around this time.
Or there could be a separate incident that stirs up excitement and / or anxiety within the US (and around the world). Mars-Uranus can also bring new insight and inspiration so don’t stress about this alignment. Mars-Uranus ensures that we will not become stuck and stagnant, urging us to continue learning and growing. Curling up in a hidey-hole will only make this transit more jolting.
To be proactive with the Mars-Uranus energy, make some minor changes in your life : decorate yourself with a color that you never wear, eat at a restaurant that you have never been to, read a new genre of books, etc. If you have any placements at or near 28° of Fixed Signs (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio or Aquarius) you could be impacted by this transit more personally.
It is important to watch what Uranus is doing at this time because on July 7th 2025 it will make its initial ingress into Gemini. Uranus’ ingress into Gemini will be the last and final big ingress that has been anticipated within the 2025 calendar year. Buckle up my friends!
Cancer New Moon
The Cancer New Moon takes place on June 25th 2025 at 04° 07’. The New Moon’s Conjunction to Jupiter is a gorgeous signature. As I mentioned prior, Jupiter in Cancer is an uplifting placement. And with the Moon at home in Cancer, even more optimism and nurturing is available.
However, the Cancer New Moon is closely Square to the Saturn-Neptune Conjunction in Aries. We could be experiencing an uprising of optimism and new opportunity, but it will be confronted with skepticism. There is the potential for extreme highs and lows around the New Moon.
Conversely, the structural disintegration and eroding that has been occurring could be uplifted by the generosity and nourishment of the Cancer New Moon. However, Saturn-Neptune is a heavy hitter and could require a heavy price to pay for any leeway that we receive.
So much of this month will be centered around the struggle between abundance and loss. As mentioned prior, this can be financially focused. Or general concerns around security.
But this planetary arrangement can also manifest as a nagging feeling within us. Not all transits manifest tangibly in the outside world, many manifest as inner emotional, spiritual and evolutionary shifts. Take the time to slow-down and notice what is occurring within your own spiritual ecosystem.
Are you needing more nourishment at this time? What nourishes you? What makes you feel safe and secure? How can you strengthen this part of your life?
Closing
As we arrive in the month of June we land at the heart of the 2025 astrological action! The very end of the month, Mercury will enter Leo and form a Trine to Saturn and Neptune. This should allow for the integration of the material that has arisen around this planetary pair throughout the month.
However, Mercury’s Opposition to Pluto at the very end of June could highlight the cost of not taking the work at hand seriously. Pluto demands authenticity from the depths of our being. Slow down to receive the information coming through in this day (June 29th 2025).
This final transit urges us to focus on our empowerment. Yes, we derive strength from within ourselves as well as our relationship with spirit (or your chosen nomenclature). But we also lift one another up, so often we find it difficult to reach out and ask for help - or even a friendly ear. I struggle with this as much as anyone.
That said, I have been deeply inspired by the work that so many are currently doing to bring people together in power and vulnerability. These are intense times and we need one another, the strength of the group will feed us. The connections that arise in our lives at this time are not accidental or coincidental, I dare say that they are fated.
Keep opening, keep dreaming, keep receiving, keep giving. Keep leaning in and bravely stepping into your own innate magic and let your magic be reflected back to you by others. It is possible, and even optimal, to both immerse yourself in the group knowing and maintain your own potency. Ideally, the two can work together. Lean into the people who want to lift you up.
