Full Moon in Taurus / Partial Lunar Eclipse : A NEW, STEADFAST DIRECTION
When : 11/19/21 - Taurus Full Moon is @ 1:57am Mountain Time. 27°14’.
Well… here we are. If you’ve been following the Astrological Weather for the past couple of weeks you’d know that something big has been brewing. Tensions have been high and most people are deeply worn down, and have been for a while. We have been asked very directly by the cosmic energies to go deep and be brutally honest with our shadows. Finding comfort within the discomfort has been an underlying theme lately.
I hope that you have been humbling yourself to the often grueling task of becoming a more truthful and soulful version of YOU. Yes, this is an on going process, but there is a new and important shift that each of us are a part of. Place the present time in whatever context you like, the bottom line is that we are living amidst potent history-in-the-making.
And this weeks transits are a significant shift-point in the current ethereal plot line. How are you feeling? What break-throughs have you had recently? What moments have brought you to your knees? How has your life perspective shifted recently? What have you been brave enough to let go of? What doors have opened for you that would have seemed impossible previously?
Take note of the subtleties that make up the greater fabric of your life. Sometimes we take for granted the “mundane” or smaller details of our reality and don’t give them the magic-making quality that they deserve.
There is a lot tied into this Taurus Full Moon, it’s a biggie, but we are likely fully prepared (fingers crossed). We have been preparing for this particular set of transits for sometime, in fact, they are all deeply inter-related. At its core Astrology is a series of cycles - and it gets really complicated, believe me. But on the more manageable and simple scale, this Full Moon is a release of the energetics of the Scorpio New Moon, that occurred on 11/4/21 (see my article for details) as well as the beginning of the Eclipses within the signs of Taurus & Scorpio (until Oct 2023).
Here we go…
Mars Opposition Uranus & Venus Trine Uranus
Why is this so important? For this Full Moon configuration, Mars is the ruler of the Sun in Scorpio and Venus is the ruler of the Moon in Taurus. And each of them has Uranian energy that they are pulling into this Full Moon / Partial Lunar Eclipse. Uranus has inserted his influence into many of the Lunation’s recently and this one is no exception.
Of the two, Mars Opposition Uranus is potentially a much more intense and even volatile energetic. I am sure that a lot of attention will be made to this transit separately as it perfects on 11/17/21, several days prior to the Full Moon. At the time of the Full Moon, the aspect will be separating (which lessens it’s potency), but it is still a part of the overall story here. The biggest take away is to remain somewhat cautious about dare-devil tactics, anything with fast movement and little room for error should be avoided. If you have the choice to not take the dangerous chance, it’s probably best to avoid it at this time.
Venus will be strongly aspected to Uranus at the time of the Full Moon. Their flowing Trine aspect will perfect several hours before the Full Moon. So, this energetic will be very strong.
What this means is that there will be a familiar element of the unexpected with the Taurus Full Moon / Partial Lunar Eclipse. Because the most potent Uranian influence is in a supportive Trine from Venus, you could expect surprises whose outcomes are ultimately very positive and create smoother change for you. Maybe this is a change in how you value yourself or take care of yourself or maybe you are inspired to make an expensive purchase to “spoil” yourself (and it could be ok!). Your love life can also be inspired with a new spark of romance either via a new relationship or within an existing one.
Full Moon Square Jupiter & Trine Pluto
It’s a full pot of players this Full Moon! Let’s take a look at these two :
While Jupiter is the “Great Benefic” of the Planets, some of his shadow sides will be at play here. Hubris, lawlessness, and inflated eccentric tendencies are all front-and-center with this placement. Because Jupiter is a “Social Planet” it is possible that these themes could be observed more obviously within the social sphere.
However, on a more personal level, Jupiter’s Square to the Full Moon configuration could point to the areas where you have glossed over the inner “work” that you have been called to do. The shadow of Jupiter can refuse to see its own issues and may believe and justify that he is above it all. None of us are above the ultimate benefit of inner work (in what ever form that takes for you). Jupiter has the potential to be a great prophet of spiritual wisdom, but without having been in the trenches with your shadow, the spiritual wisdom inevitably falls flat.
And this takes us directly into the trenches of shadow work - Pluto! Pluto can be a tough cookie - gloss is not an option on his menu. And in the Full Moon Configuration, Pluto is in a flowing and supportive aspect to the Moon. Hallelujah! What this indicates is that there could be the deep release of persistent security issues - if this is something that you have been working on. You may encounter great personal empowerment, or a much needed and supportive ending to something. Having Pluto’s support isn’t something to take lightly. Be sure to take advantage of this energetic by focusing on what needs regeneration within your life, where is the potent force within you that could use some boosting? Go big and be vulnerable and you will be rewarded greatly.
Partial Lunar Eclipse
With the Eclipses entering Taurus and Scorpio (and soon finishing up in Gemini and Sagittarius) take note of what security and trust means to you - these are hot topics for Taurus and Scorpio. Do you have strong planetary placements in Taurus and Scorpio? With the North Node moving into Taurus : What material things or situations soothe you? Do you need the familiar to make you feel secure? Do you struggle with change? And the South Node moving into Scorpio : What makes you feel skeptical? Do you struggle with trust more often than others seem to? What is your relationship to attachment?
Eclipses typically take about 6 months for their stories to unfold. It isn’t likely that you will comprehend the story line of this Eclipse s it takes place. But it is a great time to reflect upon the Gemini and Sagittarius Eclipses that are coming to a close. Look at the houses that these signs are in in your chart to get a better idea of where the storyline has been unfolding in your life.

There are a couple other bits and pieces that could be thrown in, but I think that this is enough to work with. Trust that you will receive what you need.

Exposure is being brought to our relationship to security and trust. Look to the steadfast part of your life, the routine and predictable. Part of this illumination could include surprises that change-up our relationship to stability in unexpected and supportive ways. We have recently been challenged to radical change on a very deep level. If we saw ourselves as being “above” this task, this time may be challenging. Our hubris could be exposed in uncomplimentary ways. Along these lines, beware of others “false wisdom” at this time. If you are in the midst of some deep and challenging work, you may find some pivotal and supportive transformations coming your way.

Remember that Eclipse’s aren’t a good time for rituals. These are times so rich with unpredictable energetics that it is best to be simple and present.
Light a candle and say a brief prayer - leave the rest to the brilliance of the Universe. Be present, feel it all, but don’t try to control it.
What represents Security for you? What do you consider to be steadfast and solid in your life? Really sit with your answers, find the most elemental root of their role in your life. No judgements, be curious.
Do you ever believe that you have it “all taken care of” as far as shadow work goes? Can you tend to gloss over uncomfortable parts of life because it’s just easier?
