Scorpio New Moon : Revolutionary Regeneration

The Scorpio New Moon takes Place on November 4th, 2021 @ 3:14pm Mountain Time (12°40’ Scorpio)

“You don’t become enlightened by imagining figures of light, but by entering the darkness where it begins.” - C. G. Jung

Scorpio Season is the response to the feel-good Libra Season. Libra can slide across the surface in order to maintain peace, beauty and equanimity.  Libra is ruled by Venus, the Planet of creative cohesion.  Scorpio is traditionally ruled by Mars, the Planet of action and getting to the bottom of things, no matter how uncomfortable.  Mars in Scorpio doesn’t blink an eye if separation occurs, mostly because Scorpio understands that things must die away in order to transform.

Scorpio Season can bring up the following in our lives : Where is life currently uncomfortable for you?  Can you sit with this feeling in curiosity and with an open mind?  What is the purpose of your discomfort?  We can come up with a whole slew of self-defacing reasons why we are in the predicaments that we are in.  But in all likelihood the reason why we face the challenges we do comes from the deepest and darkest part of the well-of-wisdom.  And when you break it down, the core of the discomfort it is usually an outdated means of survival.  Often the only way out of the old, uncomfortable patterns is through some sort of transformation.

Scorpio Season is the time when the vail is thinner between the spirit world and us, thus the subtleties are more accessible.  The subtleties are both within us and all around us.  While this can be uncomfortable, it is also part of the process of regeneration.  We regenerate and transform in every way possible : physically, mentally, emotionally, in our relationships, and in how we interact with the world at large.

If we didn’t transform as humans we would have died out long ago.  Paradoxically, part of transforming is also allowing a part of ourselves, or our lives, to die.  Scorpio Season prompts the image of compost, the tree or animal carcas giving way to new life as it regenerates the soil.  We are reminded not to separate ourselves from this promise of nature, everything dies and everything transforms.

While this may sound dark, at this time of the year - while the leaves fall away - we are being asked to sit with this energetic : identify the discomfort that it may bring up and look to find gratitude for the transformation it brings.  Death makes life possible.  And as part of this process, remember that the space that you are opening up in your life (through the passing away) is also fertilizing the soil for new growth *** which is what this Scorpio New Moon is all about ***.    Surrender.Trust.LetGo.Transform.

New Moon in Scorpio

New Moons are a time for planting seeds in the deepest darkness.  At this time, the Moon is drawn inward and is preparing for her next full-light event in a couple of weeks as the Full Moon.  And then she wanes back into darkness to regenerate for another planting.  There is a real depth and intensity to the Sun and the Moon intimately coming together in the Sign of Scorpio.

Scorpio energy penetrates deep into everything and there is a strong drive for survival and security.  So don’t be afraid to go uncomfortably deep with your intentions this New Moon.  As I mentioned above, the discomfort is where the real transformation takes place, and this New Moon supports that 100%.

But, of course, this New Moon isn’t so simple.

Uranus Opposition & Saturn Square

Uranus, the planet of the revolutionary, breakthroughs and electricity, is in a nearly exact opposition to the New Moon configuration.  In addition, this opposition is in a wide square with Saturn, the planet of authority, stability and the status quo.  I’m not going to lie, this is some intense energy.  This New Moon ushers in a series of challenging aspects from Scorpio to Saturn and Uranus that unfold for the rest of the month.  So set your intentions well… no pressure!

The Saturn Uranus Square is an energetic that we have been simmering in for the entirety of 2021.  This ongoing transit accounts for a lot of the underlying tension and exhaustion that many of us are chronically feeling.  To detail, let’s explore our struggle with COVID, as one manifestation of this transit : “Should I wear a mask?  Is this social event ok to go to?  They are coughing, should I be concerned?  Is the vaccine ok?  Is not getting the vaccine ok?  Will someone I know get very sick from COVID?  Is it safe for me to go to work?  Is it safe for my kids to go to school?  What medical advise can I trust?” … Not to mention the state of politics in the United States… come on… we are all completely overwhelmed and worn out.  There is so much more to say about the Saturn Square Uranus - but I will keep it at this.

The Scorpio New Moon is integrating the Saturn Square Uranus energetic into the intentions that are set at this time.  This will hit everyones chart differently, but it is likely that ongoing stressful themes in your life will be carried into the dynamic of the New Moon.

Scorpio can hold powerful space for our pain, so don’t be hesitant to bring it to your New Moon Ritual (whatever that may look like).  Because this New Moon is aligned with the underlying stresses that 2021 has beed seeped in, this could be a time to let go of some of that baggage.  This is sound advise, even if you find that some prominent 202 challenges are being turned up at this time.

What Does it Mean?

We will be invited to deeply plant new seeds for regeneration.  What transformations are you seeking in your life?  Have you been letting go of outdated parts of yourself - to create rich soil where you can plant new intentions?  If not, what are you holding onto that doesn’t serve you any longer?  How can you richen the soil for new growth to occur?  The quality of the soil depends upon how much you have allowed to pass away to feed your future regeneration.

Yes, there is a great deal of vulnerability involved in this transit.  Vulnerability is nearly always present when emptying ourselves out.  But with Uranus in such a close opposition to the New Moon, extreme occurrences are possible.

Outer planets in particular aren’t very patient with our untruths.  If you are holding anything back in your process of personal transformation Uranus will likely notice and point it out to you, and not always in a comfortable way.  Uranus urges us to be the best version of ourselves and can be very disruptive if there is too much resistance to the enlightenment that he is trying to bestow.

The more you can surrender to the reality that you are a beautiful being worthy of transformation, the more likely Uranus’ influence will be a positive, illuminating experience.  Sparks of inspiration, a revolutionary idea and positive sudden change are all within the energetic range of Uranus.

Saturn forming a T-Square can remind us that there are boundaries and earthly expectations that we have to transform within.  Saturn’s influence can provide great guidelines on how to make our transformations more sustainable.  Use Saturn’s influence on the Scorpio New Moon as a Wise-Sage.  But if Saturn manifests itself as cold-hard insecurity, kick that guy to the curb!

In Conclusion

This Scorpio New Moon is urging us to observe the quality of the creative soils within us.  New Moon seeds grow more successfully within nutritive soils. Nutritive soils are created by letting things within us pass away and decompose within the soil.

Make an intention for this next Moon Cycle, regeneration and transformation are great points of focus for this Scorpio New Moon.  What kinds of transformation can lead you to be a more enlightened version of yourself?  There is a great desire for change at this time, with Uranus so closely involved.  Take a chance on what inner freedom, inventive creativity, and/or individual excitement might look like.  Try it on for a moment, see what opens up for you.

If all of this sounds like too much, don’t worry, Saturn will be there to make sure that nothing gets out of hand.  The hand rails are up to keep you from what might feel like “self-destruction”.

The Scorpio New Moon requires a lot of trust to dig deeper in hopes of reaching new levels of freedom.  Security may feel threatened, but remember that radical regeneration is the only promise of the future.  As Einstein reminded us, “change is the only constant.”

In closing, the most revolutionary part of transformation and regeneration could be that what we are looking for is already within us - so trust the process.  As Michael Bernard Beckwith says, “Most individuals do not penetrate deeply enough into their core essence to touch their true nature of happiness.  Instead, they are content to remain at the surface, looking everywhere outside of themselves to ‘find’ what has never been lost.”

You’ve got this, you were built for this.

P.S.  These are intense times, always ask for help when you need it.  No need to be a solo superhero.  There are so many resources and other superheroes who would love to help you if you need it.  I’m here for you as well!  XOXO ~ Lisa
