September 2026 : In It Together
Business
The children have returned to school after a lovely summer of trips and chilling at home with friends and family. I will be in Chicago for a massive Astrology Conference in September, and then I am busy with other work related endeavors. If you need me in September, don’t hesitate to reach out and I may be able to squeeze you in. Things open up again in October and November… until the Holidays hit… how does that happen so quickly?!?
Sara and I switched gears last month and chatted with Yoga Instructor and Somatic Practitioner, Mary Beth LaRue about how to slow down and remember the wisdom of our bodies in this fast and furious time. She provided helpful insight and tools to practice when we find ourselves forgetting that we are in a body. You can find this episode on Broadcast Astrology : Insight for Humans , YouTube, Spotify, Other Channels and Substack - search “Broadcast Astrology” wherever you listen.
As always, you can find an audio/video version of this newsletter where I provide further insight into the topics covered here (YouTube, Spotify, Apple Podcast and wherever you listen).
Opening
Whoa… this Eclipse Season has been an emotional doozy! Who else is absolutely exhausted!?! I often forget the level of raw emotion that Eclipses can kick up.
The Eclipse portal turned many of us inwards, unleashing past wounds and exposing sensitivities we may have thought were long gone. Or bringing up new material that brought us deeper into ourselves. The end of August certainly felt like this was occurring from all directions at once.
The world stage illustrated this raw emotion via the passing of Dolly Parton and Tim Curry as well as the horrific flooding in Nepal. And personally, there were several simultaneous instances of heaviness and deep sadness.
How is everyone doing? Were you impacted by the Eclipse mayhem?
We could continue to feel the spell of Eclipse Season until around September 10th (when the next New Moon takes place). Just because the month changes doesn’t mean that we are out of the intensity quite yet. I usually find that I can physically feel the spell lifting as the next lunation approaches.
In comparison, September integrates the material that arose during Eclipse Season, and prepares us for the next distinct chapter : Retrogrades! We don’t enter into Venus and then Mercury Retrograde until October. And Mars doesn’t Station Retrograde until January 2027. But in September, the planets enter the signs that they will eventually Retrograde within. These ingresses can sometimes provide previews of the themes that will be highlighted during the Retrograde.
The first week of September highlights tensions and potential power-struggles with the Mars-Saturn Square on September 1st, at 13° 39’. And then is relatively calm until September 10th, when a flurry of activity takes place. Let’s take a look!
Venus into Scorpio
Venus Ingresses are typically not on my radar to highlight. However, Venus’ Ingress into Scorpio on September 10th signals that its Retrograde journey is drawing near. And several days later, on September 15th, Venus will Square Pluto in Aquarius, the signature aspect of the upcoming Venus Retrograde. We will encounter this Square two more times until mid-December as the Venus Retrograde unfolds.
Venus Square Pluto indicates conflicts surrounding power and control within relationship. Feelings of insecurity can arise with this alignment, struggles with self-worth, as well as obsession.
More positively, Venus Square Pluto can urge us to do the work within ourselves and our relationships. The layers that are peeled away could result in empowerment and more authentic expression. When we accept vulnerabilities invitation, we can overcome relational patterns that ultimately transform how we love.
It is possible that we could see the Epstein Files begin to ramp up again between September and December, or other events concerning the treatment of women. We could also witness dramatic turns in celebrity relationships.
As Venus Ingresses into Scorpio and then Squares Pluto we could notice the themes and storylines surrounding the upcoming Venus Retrograde emerging - even though it doesn’t begin in earnest until October 3rd. Venus Retrograde cycles repeat every 8 years. Think back to 8 years ago (and even 8 years before that) to get an idea of how your chart tends to respond to this particular Venus Retrograde cycle.
Also look at what you have at or around 03° of the fixed signs (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio and Aquarius).
Uranus Stations Retrograde
Also on September 10th, Uranus Stations Retrograde at 05° Gemini 41’. Uranus has been making a lot of noise lately, it was highlighted in the August 28th Pisces Lunar Eclipse when it was slowing to a crawl. Leaving the end of August in various forms of dishevelment.
This was illustrated most strikingly by the tragic mudslide in Nepal (prayers for those who were impacted). Uranus loosens up areas of our life that are on the verge of change, the pressure can be so great that a burst catapults life into new form. And sometimes, it is absolutely not what we would have wanted… but there is always wisdom behind the chaos.
Uranus Stations Retrograde in a Semisquare to Mars, potentially igniting sudden events and surprise developments. Mars is Semisquare to Uranus from September 8th until September 14th, making this Station even more intense. Mars and Uranus together can bring about electric restlessness, impulsive urges as well as innovative problem-solving.
Additionally, Uranus is in a Grand Trine with Mercury in Libra and Pluto in Aquarius, setting the stage for a time of brilliant insights and future- minded vision. If you have anything at the early degrees (0° - 7°) of the Air Signs (Gemini, Libra or Aquarius) you could be positively impacted by the transformative information loop that you find yourself in.
Don’t hold back on manifesting ideas that you may have been noodling over for sometime. Now could be the perfect opportunity to make the phone calls, write the chapters or submit your ideas. The world needs your brilliance!
Virgo New Moon
The Virgo New Moon is the third major event that occurs on September 10th! With so much simultaneous astrological activity, It is likely to be a big day / week. Situated at 18° Virgo 25’, and forming a Sesquisquare to Pluto, this New Moon is more of a pressure cooker than is evident on the surface.
We could see a heightened focus on power and control. As well as an increase in emotional intensity (as though we need more of that after this Eclipse Season!).
Being in the sign of Virgo, we could feel immense pressure to fix our lives all at once. Remember that perfection is an illusion and obsessing over the smallest of details pulls us out of the majesty of the big picture. Additionally, we could be coming up against the ways that we make ourselves smaller because we never feel good enough.
This time is putting unneeded stress on our self-worth as well as our relationships. We could feel burdened to be a certain way and simultaneously calling in the inspiration to overhaul patterns that could keep us small.
Remember : the world needs your magic!
Autumn Equinox
On September 22nd the Sun enters the Cardinal sign of Libra, marking the beginning of Autumn and equal day and night. Importantly, the Cardinal (or seasonal) Ingresses this year are all triggering the Saturn - Neptune Conjunction that happened in February 2026. An important alignment that reminded us that the world is undergoing a major change, disintegrating formidable structures in order to eventually rebuild.
While this is certainly happening on a larger scale, we also know that this is unfolding in our personal lives as well. I know that many of my clients have made distinct changes in their lives in order to live more authentically. They have moved, changed career paths and separated from partnerships. For many, 2020 opened the gates of change and 2026 has accelerated the process. The future is waiting for all of us!
The Autumn Equinox in the Northern Hemisphere marks the gradual shortening of daylight and the lengthening of darkness. How do we best situate ourselves as we move into this more introspective time of the year? What can we do to ensure that we have the nourishment that we need during this time of hibernation?
Although we generally continue our lives as usual into the Winter months, I intuit that our bodies remember the isolation and the dormancy. The long, cold quiet that we will enter in several months. But first, we reap the benefits of what we have planted in the Summer months, reflect on what we could have done better or what we will repeat next year. We find the best ways to store our nutrition in hopes that it will last us through the harsh cold months.
It is my hopes for you that your harvest is rich, your storerooms are safe and your hearts are full.
Aries Full Moon
Several days after the Autumn Equinox is the Aries Full Moon on September 26th and situated at 03° 37’. Similar to the Autumn Equinox, the Aries Full Moon is aligned with the Saturn - Neptune Conjunction. Although they are currently approximately 11° from one another, the resonance of their Conjunction in February is still quite strong.
And when faster moving planets such as the Sun and the Moon interact with Saturn and Neptune, they do something that is referred to as Translating the Light. Which essentially means that they are tying their energies together, acting as a messenger between the two.
As I have stated many times this year particularly, this is a great reset for humanity. It is not the kind of reset that will necessarily happen over night, rather it will be both slowly and all at once.
Additionally, the Full Moon is positively aligned with Uranus and Pluto. Launching technology, social movements, and overall inspiration to fill in where so much is expiring.
Whenever we are dealing with the Aries / Libra Axis, relationships are highlighted. If this Full Moon is interacting with your chart personally, you could find that topics of relationship are up for evaluation. It is important to release that which is no longer relevant in the relationship. It doesn’t necessarily have to be the entire relationship (of course!), it could be harmful words that you commonly use to communicate with one another, assumptions that you make that aren’t holding up, or maybe even the realization that something that you find to be annoying might not be as bad as you have led yourself to believe. Allow yourself to be proven wrong!
Neptune Sextile Pluto Bonus Material
I have recently been thinking a lot about the Neptune-Pluto Sextile (which is part of the fast and furious energy that we are currently experiencing). This is a long-term multi-generational transit that impacts the larger chapters in human history. The Neptune-Pluto Sextile is a fascinating piece of the current astrology, that we have been under the spell of since 1950 (on and off), and it will finally end in 2032.
At the moment, we are finishing up a very long run of a powerful dream. During this time, humans have pushed farther beyond known boundaries faster than ever before. The time that we are in, that began in the 1950’s, is often referred to as the Great Acceleration.
The Great Acceleration characteristics include : hyper-consumption, suburban sprawl (made possibly by automobiles), the “always-on” telecommunications culture, chemical spikes, resource consumption, as well as atmospheric alteration. There are arguably many benefits to the convenient and rapidly evolving lifestyle model that the Neptune-Pluto Sextile has inspired - as well as so many consequences. However, that dream will very likely change in the coming decade (once the Sextile begins to fade).
And in 2061 (in 35 years), Neptune will Square Pluto and we will have to truly face the consequences and make actual changes to the unsustainable patterns that we have become accustomed to. We know that this change is coming. The younger generations will be the ones who will really have to pick up the pieces and make the adjustments that will be required for the human race to survive.
But they were born for this mission. And we cannot feel detrimentally bad for the mistakes that have been made, or feel angry. It was literally written in the stars. I believe that there were barriers that needed to be pushed through, and that usually makes a mess. I believe that once the Neptune Square Pluto happens in 35 years, that we will have the technology and knowledge to actually fix the problems at hand. It could not have happened any earlier.
Closing
While September will not be contending with any major astrological alignments - be that Eclipses or otherwise. We are still in the midst of some heavy-duty planetary alignments. Including the reverberation of the Saturn-Neptune Conjunction, as well as the rare flowing aspects between all of the Modern Planets (Uranus, Neptune and Pluto).
We can expect the beginning of the month to remain in the Eclipse fog, also mixed with strong Uranus energy (as it Stations Retrograde). If you are tired, give yourself permission to rest. August was a very big month.
September offers us moments to integrate the material that has surfaced in the past month and even prior. Take the time to work with that material. It is important. Lean into sharing with friends and find help when needed. We are humans, we suffer and we love.
We are all in the metamorphosis at this moment. We are going through it together. You are not alone.
Lots of love to each and every one of you!
Lisa (aka The Dynamic Self)
